Talking Animals, Law & Philosophy Term Card

We are pleased to release the Easter Term card of the Talking Animals, Law & Philosophy series. All events will take place on Zoom from 5-6.30 pm and are free and open to the public. On 6 May, Torben Spaak (Professor in Jurisprudence at Stockholm University) will present his paper "Animal Law: Human Duties or Animal Rights?". This presentation is followed on 18 May by Katie Sykes’s (Associate Professor of Law at Thompson Rivers University) talk on "International Law, General Principles, and Animal Welfare". Finally, on 7 June, Ankita Shanker (Visitor at the Cambridge Centre for Animal Rights Law and PhD candidate at the University of Lucerne) will present on "Rights-Holding Persons and the Personhood and Rights They Hold".
