We are delighted to release the Michaelmas 2021 term card of the Talking Animals, Law & Philosophy series. Jessica Eisen (University of Alberta) will kick off this year’s series on October 21st with a presentation on “Animal Legal Subjectivity: Emerging Models, Enduring Problems”. On November 19th, Visa Kurki (University of Helsinki) will be delivering a talk on “The Puzzle of Animal Dignity”. And on December 2nd, Joe Wills (Leicester Law School) will be presenting on “Animals and the Common Law”. All events will take place on Zoom and are free and open to all. Registration for European Animal Rights Law Conference
Registration is now open for the European Animal Rights Law Conference 2021. The Conference will take place in person from 17-18th September in the Woolf Institute on the Westminster College site in Cambridge. The event will bring together leading academics from the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Poland. You can see the full programme on our Conferences page. Covid measures (including socially distanced chairs, open windows, face masks, and hand sanitisers) will be in place to ensure that the Conference can be carried out as safely as possible. We are looking for a Public Relations Manager
We are seeking a part-time Public Relations Manager (PR Manager) to increase awareness of the work of the Centre (and improve links with potential donors) through a communication and media relations programme. The salary is pro rata £50k, but only 0.1 position. Work will be done mostly from home, flexible work times, flexible location.
